THROUGH JANUARY 2, 2022: Houston Botanic Garden Lightscape
Enjoy magical light displays set along a beautifully illuminated path winding through the Garden. Expect one-of-a-kind experiences blending new works by local artists with favorites from previous Lightscape installations around the world, such as the Winter Cathedral, an impressive towering arch tunnel sparkling with 100,000 lights.

DECEMBER 15: The Elements of Tibetan Meditation
This series will explore the five natural elements that serve as the basis for Tibetan medicine and practice – Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. Each session will feature a brief lecture, followed by movements, breathing exercises and meditation, all enriched by the sights and sounds of the Garden.

THROUGH JANUARY 31, 2022: Avenida Houston City Lights
Downtown’s plaza has been transformed into the perfect winter wonderland complete with the Discovery Green ice rink for skating, lights for gazing, and family activities. Catch festively decorated trees courtesy of the Alley Theater. Also, this year's winter illuminated art installation, the Mosaic of Light by Hybycozo through February 27, 2022.

THROUGH DECEMBER 24: Houston Ballet - The Nutcracker
Bring the family back to the theater to share the joy of Clara’s magical journey to the Kingdom of Sweets this holiday season! Critics say Stanton Welch’s production is a spectacle of opulence and one of the most splendid versions of the holiday classic ever staged.

JANUARY 9, 2022: Lovett Blvd. And Audubon Place Architecture Walk
This all-new walking tour by Preservation Houston explores the city’s first two large-scale 20th century suburban neighborhood designs, which quickly became the most fashionable in town.
