TOP NATIONAL CHARITABLE CALIFORNIA WINE AUCTION IS BACK

The Sonoma County Wine Auction brings the region’s most renowned winemakers and growers together with collectors and generous bidders for an opportunity to acquire some of Sonoma County’s top wines and once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences. Named one of the nation’s top charitable auctions by Wine Spectator, the proceeds raised benefit local Sonoma County charitable organizations.
The weekend of activities kicks off on September 16 at stunning new Montage Healdsburg resort with The Best Party Ever and culminates with the live auction on Saturday, September 18 at the breathtaking La Crema Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard. La Crema Estate is nestled within the Russian River Valley in a restored historic circa 1900 barn with sprawling lush grounds perfect for the reception tastings, auction and after-celebration. On Friday, September 17, enjoy intimate dining experiences hosted by popular chefs and winemakers. The region’s iconic wines will be paired with California cuisine in an unforgettable wine country setting.
The Sonoma County Vintners Foundation Vintner Honoree for this year’s Sonoma County Wine Auction is venerable Gary B. Heck, President, Chairman and Owner of historic Korbel Champagne Cellars. The list of exclusive live auction lots has also been unveiled for the auction taking place in-person. “Each year our Vintner Honoree is selected for their leadership and commitment to Sonoma County,” said Michael Haney, Sonoma County Vintners Executive Director.”
Since its inception, the Sonoma County Wine Auction has raised nearly $37 million to help fund charitable organizations focusing on literacy, education, arts and culture, environment and health and human services and have supported more nonprofits than any other fundraising event in Sonoma County.
